my engagement ring will be a stunning white gold solitare but I wear yellow gold sometimes too what do you think about getting a yellow gold wedding band. I wouldn’t wear then together, just yellow gold with yellow gold and white gold with white gold.
I know "Whatever You Want" is a common answer but I am ust looking for sugesstions.
Does anyone wear only their engagement ring after their married?

I’ve been looking for a white gold wedding band in the UK for some time. Most are either too plain or too dear. Web sites would be appreciated.
Sir S – if you wanted to be reported you only had to ask!!!! I’ve done it.

When my husband and I got married I really didn’t have very much money to get him a nice ring nor did the stores around me have good selection. Well, we’ve been married a year and a half now. The other day I was just browsing the jewelry at a store and I saw a really amazing ring. I told him about it when he got home from work that night. We went to the store and he tried it on. He really liked it and it’s much much much better than the one I got him. The one I got him was like 10k white gold, small, plain band. The one we were looking at was tungsten. I think that’s a much better ring am I right? lol. Point is, is it wrong or unacceptable to buy a new wedding band? It’s not the one I put on his finger our wedding day but this one is much better. It’s the meaning that counts, my friend told me, but I want to know if it’s like a bad omen or something along those lines. I want good opinions please, if you’ve been thru this great! Thank You so much!!!!
I think that by buying him a ring that is stronger, more durable that it says something about our love, our marriage. How we’ve grown and everything we’ve gone thru we will be just as strong. I think a tungsten ring would symbolize that well. I have thought about getting it blessed by a preist and having him keep the old ring on a chain.

I have a small wedding band made of half white gold and half gold gold(these are 14k). I also have a bigger 1970’s pimp ring which looks like gaudy swiss cheese(which is also 14k). I know you can’t give me an exact figure, but I’d like to have a basic idea before i sell it so i don’t get ripped off. If it isn’t worth anything, let me know. Thanks so much!

I am looking for a relatively inexpensive mens wedding band. I found several that I like under 0…which is better though, white gold, titanium or tungsten? I’m not looking for anything flashy, just plain and durable.

I’m having a tough time deciding on a ring for my husband-to-be. What is the difference between tungsten carbide, palladium, and sterling silver? We want something VERY durable and scratch-resistant that will match my white-gold set. Also, what are the differences in prices?

I recently inherited my grandmother’s wedding ring, and I love it. The only thing is its in yellow gold, and I only ever wear white gold or silver. I love that its something of my grandma’s I’d get to keep forever, so I was thinking of having a white gold band made, in the same style, and have the stones reset in it. Is that detracting from the memory of the ring was/is? I want to her memory, but still have it be me as well.

i have been wearing my wedding band for 2 years now, and never had a problem, now i get these itchy bumps around my finger and it swells up. could i possibly be developing an allergic reaction now? also, i wear my engagement ring on my other hand and that finger is just fine, the engagement band and the wedding band are both 14 karat white gold. why would that band be ok and not the other?

I work with my hands, so I want something strong. I hear that tungsten and titanium are strong, but I’m concerned that the color will not look the same as white gold or platinum,or they won’t look as shiny. Or should I just go with white gold or platinum?

Ok. I have an engagement ring and to describe it is white gold a carat round diamond in the middle with 6 diamonds on both sides channeled. The bands we looked at are one is a half carat channeled diamond white gold band. We want two on both sides of the engagement ring, but I feel it takes off from my center stone. What do you think? Go smaller? Only one band not 2?

It’s a white gold wedding set with the wedding band having a total of 2 carats made up of 12 princess cut diamonds and the engagement ring having a total of 2.5 carats with a centre princess cut 0.75 carat diamond and 4 princess cut diamonds on either side of the centre stone (8 total). what would be the approximate value of each ring and the set? Thanks!

My fiance will not wear gold nor white gold. I am just concerned that if we get sterling silver rings they will show more wear over time, or may tarnish. Are there any other types of wedding bands that are not gold that will last a lifetime and still look like new years from now?
What is palladium? Is this a platinum substitute?

I have a 5 diamond prong set white gold wedding band. If I brought it to a jeweler, is there any way he could set the diamonds in the band as to make it more of a channel setting instead of prong?
I ask because the prongs on my wedding band rub up against my cathedral setting of my engagement ring setting and as a result, the ER is being scratched.
Also, how much does this type of altering go for? Ball park range? I know it all depends…

My boyfriend loves yellow gold i do too. But personally we both think that engagement rings look better on white gold than yellow gold…but he would NEVER wear a white gold ring. So would it look bad if i get my engagement and wedding band in white gold n he gets his wedding band in yellow gold??? i also don’t like when a ring has both yellow and white gold in it i just think it looks to tacky. and i would NOT want to have my engagement ring in white gold and my wedding band in yellow gold. I wear both type of golds. So please help us out… we appreciate your time and God bless!!!

So I got a nice engagement ring that has three diamonds on it in a row. My fiance and I will be looking at wedding bands this weekend but I’m not sure what would look right. I want to continue to wear my engagement ring with my wedding band. Should I get a plain white gold band or will it be ok to get a band with diamonds going around the ring or just in front, or will that be too much? My engagement didn’t come in a set so I’m not sure what kind would look good with it.

Well he fineally proposed! And the ring is gorgeous…half carat round cut diamond….sparkles sooooo much, with baguette diamonds either side. The setting is in white gold (or platinum, not sure) but the band’s yellow gold.
I adore it!…..I usually wear white gold or 2 tone gold.
I have another lovely band he gave me that is yellow gold with white gold top and bottom. We both like 2 tone. The jeweller told him that if I prefered the ring in white gold it will cost twice as much to make a new one, simply because this ring is old stock an been marked down drastically. he said they can rhodium plate it to make it white. I dont know what to do, nor do I know if i like that idea. Is this worth doing? I was wondering if I should just leave it how it is, I do love it, an get a white gold wedding band, which will give me the two tone look, or get a two tone wedding band. I dont really want a plain yellow band. What do you thinK? Would it be odd having a white gold band beside the yellow?
I saw this ring months ago and adored it. It is the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. I cant believe he got it for me. I told him about it long ago, but didnt think he would go get it.
The reson it was marked down so much is it has actually been in the store for almost 5 years! Meant for me I think!
Personally I would like to leave it how it is but really want a white gold wedding band….just dont know if it would look odd.
