Mens White Gold Wedding Bands

I have a white gold engagement ring. If I get a platinum wedding band will the metals react? or one corrode the other? Do I need to get the same metal ring?

I’m trying to find some sites that sell small ring sizes. I’m getting married this summer and need to find a ring. Looked at one at a store I liked but it couldn’t be made to the size I need. I’m needing a size 3.5 in a ladies ring. I’m mainly looking for a site that has white gold wedding bands other than just the plain ones.

Just curious if you would consider wearing, or purchasing, a TIMOKU black titanium wedding band. It is not a traditional ring for a mens wedding band – like a white or yellow gold band. But are you really looking for traditional or ordinary? Trying to get a feel for how many people are willing to break free from the traditional wedding bands.

My boyfriend and I have talked about marriage pretty much since day 1. He is 8 years older than I am and is insistant on having a yellow-gold wedding band. I agree with him that it looks more "traditional" than a white gold/platinum wedding band. However, I never pictured myself with a yellow gold engagement ring/wedding band. I would really like it if our wedding bands matched though. Any suggestions/advice?
We both have talked about this and I understand his views about the yellow gold. He just comes from a generation when yellow gold was in style whereas I am younger and used to women wearing platinum (which I don’t necessarily like) I like more antique styles…

My husband and I have been married for two weeks now, and because of us not having such a large income, we wed through the Justice of the Peace. What made me feel a little more sad is we didn’t have rings. My husband said he would buy them, but I know he hasn’t looked any where and I’m not wearing one. The other day I was curious so I decided to look on ebay and found a huge bargain for a 18K white gold wedding band, and decide to purchase it for him. How would you guys feel if your new wife bought you a wedding bed? If by chance this has happened to you, how was your reaction?

There’s a guy I’m interested in and we talk about pursuing a relationship. However, he wears a ring on his ring finger that looks like a silver or white gold band. I don’t want to automatically jump to conclusions and assume he’s engaged or married – he really doesn’t seem like a player type. However, I don’t know any other guys who wear a ring that looks like a wedding band on their ring finger. What are the chances that a guy would wear a ring that resembled a wedding band just because he likes it without it having anything to do with being taken? This guy has some tattoos and piercings, so I figure there’s a good chance he’s just more into jewelry than an average guy, so I’m confused.

Also, I feel awkward asking him about the ring – I don’t want him to think I don’t trust him and see him as someone who isn’t faithful and is playing games, but I need to know. What would be a good way to bring up the subject and find out? (I just hope he’ll be honest)

What is the real deal? I keep hearing conflicting information… some say palladium is softer than platinum, some say it is harder. I can’t wear gold (yellow or white) due to allergies, so don’t even bother suggesting i save my money and get gold.

Which is better? is palldium really just a poor man’s platinum? I want value, but I also want a ring that will last a lifetime. Temporarily I am getting a plain wedding band for a few years, and then I will be getting a different one that has small diamonds going around the ring. I want both rings to age well.

Does anyone have correct information on the comparison? Don’t bother answering if you are going to quote wikipedia. wikipedia is a great starting point, but should never be relied on as having correct information.
my engagement ring is platinum. while it "whitens" over time from scratches, they polish right out. So, i am familar with the care of platinum. Recently a few jewlery stores i have been in to see styles for wedding bands have been pushing the palladium. I think it is because they don’t normally carry platinum…

So, i am just curious of the differences. I don’t plan on wearing my engagement ring once we are married, so i am not worried about the metals matching.

I Have both a 6 prong round solitaire engagement ring and a 1 ct. 5 stone low profile wedding band. My problem is, the diamonds on the wedding band are etching into the prongs on the engagement ring and I don’t want to loose the stone. I have been looking into tiny .5 ct eternity bands to go in between the two and separate them and it works perfectly.
I cant really spend the money on another platinum ring and was wondering if it was ok to wear a white gold band in between the two.
I’m not worried about color change, but I was told the platinum would wear down the white gold and that they shouldn’t be worn next to each other…

Okay, I’ve been looking around, but I need some help. Every ring I find for a guy has jewels (that make them look like they should be wore by 45 year old golfers) in it and that is not my boy’s style. It’s either that or completely plain bands (which I don’t want to do). He prefers white gold. Can anyone out there give me a picture/ link/ something helpful to finding to perfect ring for my man?

I have been shopping for a wedding band to go with my engagement ring, but I can not seem to find anything to match it. I tried it with an solitare enchancer and it fit but having a total of three bands on my finger looked a little strange to me. I tried putting just a plain white gold band next to my ring and i still thought it looked weird. I also tried a band with diamonds across. Do you have any suggestions on what you think looks nice? I am starting to think they all look weird to me because I am just not used to having more bling on that finger yet! lol

Hello! I have recently gotten engaged! My ring is white gold with diamonds and is beautiful!

But…for our wedding, we have decided to pick each others bands out separately! This is where I’m lost.

He is a slightly flashy person. He wears yellow and white gold and likes a few diamonds here and there! My problem is, I can’t seem to find a ring with a mixture of the three that is in a slightly decent price range.

ive seen the nicest engagment ring…i didnt want a diamond like everyone else but a pink sapphire and diamond ring. it costs £950. as for the wedding band im not fussy. i saw a white gold wedding band for 50 quid and that will do me cos its just a plain simple band. however my bf who is planning on proposing in the next few months say he wont spend more then 500 on a engament ring cos he wants to fork out over a grand on the wedding band which i dont really give a fig about. i know it symbolises more but its just a plain band. whos right?

My fiance and I are having trouble finding a wedding band that looks right next to it. We have the benefit of knowing a jeweler that can make whatever we what for a decent price, so we would like something a little more dazzling than a simple white gold band. But we’ve been told that the pear-shaped stones make it very difficult to match with a wedding band right next to it.

It was also suggested that I wear my engagement band on my right hand and a completed different wedding band on the otherhand. I’m not against this idea, but I’d like to try to find something to wear on my left hand with my engagement ring.

my fiance and i got engaged last august (07) and we found out at the end of the mo’ that i was pregnant….after long and hard consideration we decided to take the ring back. it was a hard decisions but i knew it was the right thing to do…the ring was not fully paid for so it made sense to wait a little while when he could afford another ring that was less expensive….

i don’t care how much the ring costs to be honest & i have actually said that for the time being all i really want it a simple white gold wedding band with a matching band that has a couple diamonds in it(i like this one from kay jewelers and its like 0, yes, three hundred) anyway, i’ve decided to go another route and i was wondering if anyone knew of a website that sells jewelry that LOOKS real but isn’t….and that doesn’t cost a fortune…i know there are cubic zirconium rings out there but i don’t know where else to look….we’re getting married in a couple of mo’s and since i don’t care about the actual engagement ring for now i need a ring that will pass as a real one for the time being….please no rude comments…..i’m just trying to make things easier on us financially and yes my fiance already has a ring picked out that he’s saving for….everyone knows how expensive babies are and we’re also trying to save for one of us to get a newer car….this is just life and we’re going thru it together and very happily…any help would be much appreciated!
we are not "rushing" to get married. we are ready. we are also paying for our own wedding since my parents don’t approve….this information was going to be held personal but since you feel the need to be rude (like i requested you not be) but since you answered anyway…) we’re doing what is best for us because it is OUR decision….not anyone else’s. besides i’m not going to rely on money spent on a wedding that i wouldn’t be able to have any say so in it whatsoever…hence the reason my fiance and i are paying for it so that we can have it the way we want it without any regrets.

So my ex and I were together for almost a year. Because of my religion I will not have sex with a man before we are married. He started talking about what my dream engagement ring was, were I would like to get married, and other big hints that he was going to propose.

Then he asked me if when we got engaged could we have sex, because we both wanted a big wedding that would take at least six months to plan and save for and he didn’t think he could wait that much longer. I told him of course not I needed to be married first because that is what God wanted. He freaked out! He was like I should be more important to you then silly old traditions, and if we are engaged and you will still not sleep with me then that means you really don’t want to be with me. I told him that was far from the truth I did love him and I did want to marry him. But he was so convinced that me not having sex with him meant I didn’t care enough about him so we both agreed to end the relationship.

That was about a month and a half ago. Last week he asked me to go to dinner with him so we could talk about what happened. He took me to the nicest place we have within a half an hour of my small town and he asked if we could get back together. He said he was sorry and he was only excited to start our new life together and he took it a little to far. When I told him I would have to think about it he said "Then let me give you one more thing to think about" and he got down on one knee and pulled out my dream ring (a .75 ct. pear shaped diamond set on a plan white gold band) and asked me to marry him. I cried a little, but told him I needed some time to think.

Now I love him more than anyone else, and he is the first and only man (aside from family) that I have ever loved and I really want to be his wife. But he broke my heart! I was a mess without him, he hurt me worse than I hurt when my grandma died. Should I forgive him for that or should I move on?
